College. Is. Hard.

Guess who! Yup it's me! Jackie Unicornsinger! Well as I am sure many of you know, I have been absent from the community for almost a month now. This is because I recently started college up again and because I am going for a doctorate degree, being connected to the community very hard. However, since I have more time now and I am getting the hang of things, I have decided to come back to the community!

*Please hold for clapping and a dramatic pause :P*

By now, I am almost positive that you are going to ask "What about Pirate 101 Pilgrimage?" Well, as of today, I will begin editing it, adding some new things, and taking some old things away. More Screenshots from the Beta

As promised, here are some more pictures from the beta! There are only two, so I will be uploading a LOT more day by day. Before we begin, I have a secret for you all! There is not a bazaar (auction house) in the game right now, but Kingsisle has some special plans to put one in. Sounds cool, doesn't it?

Now, lets look at these awesome pictures:

To the right, is a picture of Jonah Town. As you can see, it is located on a whale (I feel bad for the whale have to carry this whole town on his back). This area is inhabited mostly by fisherman pelicans. Also, there is a bucket that will take you down into gullet where you will see the frog father (if you are doing the main story line, you will eventually run into this).






To the left, is a picture of Skull Island. This is the starting area that your pirate will start out it. If we were to compare this location to Wizard 101, Skull Island would be like the Commons, Ravenwood, Unicorn Way, and the Shopping District all in one. In this area you will find Captain Avery's office, your class trainers, and some shops to buy cool weapons and gear!

No more NDA!

That's right my fellow pirates! The NDA is lifted so we can post videos, pictures, and share the game of Pirate 101 with all of our friends!

First, here is my character! Her name is Jackie Underwood and she is a level 10 privateer! (Her avatar picture is to the right obviously).

Pirate 101 Pilgrimage: The Podcast!

Yup...WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A PODCAST!

Now I know you are probably screaming inside like I am (that was sarcasm), but there are a few things we have to do before we can broadcast episode 1. They are as follows:

• Get a co-host
• Create an awesome theme song
• Make plans
• Figure out how we are going to broadcast
• Figure out when we are going to broadcast
• Etc.

So, the first step is to get a co-host. We already have the main host and no it's not me. Sorry, I am too busy and I already have a lot on my plate (sad face). 

By now, I am sure you are wondering "who is the host?" The host of this new podcast is my younger cousin, Anthony Mythhammer. He is 14 years old and is going to be a freshman so I believe he is responsible enough for this job.

So like I said, there NEEDS to be a co-host to be with Anthony on the air. If you wish to apply please email me! Below are a list of things that should be included in the email.

1) Your age? (I do not want my younger cousin to be on the air with a 40 year old male with a record)

2) Your gender? (This will not affect your chances of being picked for the job)

The Beta

As the title states, this post is about the beta! Now, I know you all have seen multiple posts about the beta on other sites, so I am gonna try to make this a little different. To start off, the beta was released  approximately a week ago (obviously). Some beta keys were given out and a small percent of people were lucky enough to receive one while others, well...some others were crushed. And by "some", I mean "A LOT". Ever since that day, there have been complaints on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media websites. Even though there are more beta keys being given out everyday some people still seem to complain. But keep in mind that the reality is that not everyone will get a key. In fact, a lot of players will probably not get to play Pirate 101 until it officially goes live. Sorry :(.

To continue, I would just like to thank Kingsisle for sending me a beta key. I really appreciate their kindness. and generosity. I wish I could say more but since it is a closed beta I can't. So, all I can say is that I am in the closed beta and it is AMAZING! That is all young pirates! I need to get back to playing the beta and as they say in the Hunger Games, " may the odds be ever in your favor."

P.S.  Sorry there hasn't been a post in a while. There isn't much to talk about and I have been quite busy, but I will try to post as much as I can!

Our next question that we recently received is from Anthony Deathsong! Here's what he asked:

Question: "Do you you think Pirate 101 will be better than Wizard 101 or will Wizard 101 stay on top?"

Answer: "We believe that Pirate 101 might have some improved game mechanics and better graphics since Kingsisle has been around for a while now and it has gained numerous employees. However, we also believe that the story will be equally as exciting and interesting. So, it basically comes down to your personal opinion. If you like pirates, swords, and stuff like that then you might like Pirate 101 better. If you like wizards, magic, and things like that then you might like Wizard 101 better. Who knows? Maybe you will like them equally. Kingsisle always surprises us with wonderful things so you never know what might happen. All you can do right now is wait and see. :)"

Hey Guys! This is Michael Mythdreamer (the co-owner of this blog)! Now, I almost never write on the site cause that's more of Jackie's job. However, this is a special occasion. I would just like to wish Jackie Unicornsinger a Happy 24th Birthday! I hope she gets awesome presents and has a day filled with joy and happiness. I love you Jackie! You are the greatest cousin in the world!

Michael and I have recently received our first question! However, this person did not leave their in-game so unfortunately we can't give credit to them. The question given to us and the answer we gave are listed below.

Question: "How do you guys make you and your website known to the community?"

Answer: "Michael and I make ourselves known by communicating and interacting with the community. We both have twitter accounts and I have a Facebook account. We also help people A LOT in Wizard 101. In addition, I attend the live shows of Pieces of 8 Radio and Ravenwood Radio. As for our blog, we promote it by just talking about it on twitter and asking our friends to inspect our website and add a link on their webpage."

New In Game Screenshot

As you can see below, this is a screenshot from Pirate 101 that was taken by J Todd Coleman. If you look at the picture closely, you can see that there is a resemblance to the Wizard 101 game interface. For example, the experience bar and the chat menu are close to the area where they are in Wizard 101. The health meter seems to be in the same location as well. So, thank Mr. Coleman for this picture my fellow pirates! If you look at it closely some of your questions and mysteries might just be revealed...

Beta Keys!

I have recently found out that Pirate 101 will be at comic-con! In addition to this piece of great news, I have also discovered that they will be releasing 10 beta keys! Of course, compared to the number of people going to this event, that is a small (very very very small) number. Well I guess we will find out more in the future.

My Pirate Name...

A few hours ago, Pieces of 8 Radio announced an interesting contest. The details of this are as follows

• Create your own personalized Pirate 101 Name 
• Examples: One-Eyed Jack (The Friendly Necromancer's Name)
• Send the Email with your name to their email
• There will be 3 winners
• Each winner gets 5000 crowns to spend on Wizard 101 or Pirate 101

This contest naturally interested me so I am currently working on a name. Of course, I am not only doing this for crowns but to create a name to represent me in the community. So, lets hope I can come up with something!

No News

As I am sure you are all aware of, there has not been that much news about Pirate 101. Naturally, many people are disappointed by this. However, I believe we can infer that Kingsisle is working hard on their two games because of this. In fact I have a feeling that the beta for Pirate 101 will be released soon. This of course is just a random guess and is not an official announcement. So turn that frown upside down my fellow pirates! Cross your fingers and get ready for the journey of a lifetime!

On Vacation

I am sorry for any inconvenience my fellow pirates, but I will be on vacation for the next week so I will not be able to post that much :( . But when I get back I will upload some special surprises that will be worth the wait!

How Often Will I Post?

The answer to the given question above is EVERYDAY! Isn't that awesome?!?! I know some bloggers who post only once a week or even once a month and I find that ridiculous! So, for the benefit of the community, I will post every single day (unless there is an emergency or if I am on vacation). I hope this post makes everyone happy and filled with joy.

Who Am I?

Hey everyone! My name is Jackie Unicornsinger and welcome to my Pirate 101 blog!


I have had a history with blogs, MMORPG, and even podcasting. I have played many games such as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, World of Warcraft, Wizard 101, and many others as well. So, when I first saw Pirate 101, I knew I had to play it . Now, since the game is not released yet, I have decided to start a blog about Pirate 101 to provide information and news about it.

For those of you who don't know, Pirate 101 is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). It is currently in an Alpha testing stage. This means that only a handful of people that have a connection to the company of Kingsisle are able to play. Later this year, the Beta will be released and more people will be randomly selected to play the game.

To wrap up my first post, I would like to state what the purpose and goals of this blog is. They are as follows.

1. To Create a site where people can find information about the game.
2. To Make this the best Pirate 101 blog possible.
3. To Connect the Kingsisle Community together.
4. To Have Fun! :)
5. To Tell a Story about my adventures in Pirate 101 (once it releases).
